Yes thats all well and good but those words came originally from St Francis of Assisi, a bloke who used to talk to plants and animals, they aren't the words of a sane person.

Which is why its fitting that Thatcher should chose them as her newly elected PM speech on the steps of Downing St, "But before I smote you all with my destruction and division, I'd like to quote you some words from a completely insane person..."

You're quoting popularity polls and thereafter judging her political performance and the affect her government had on the country and its social network at the time - the latter does not follow the former for the former relies on personal opinion which can easily be swayed depending on the questions asked and who was polled - none of which contain an academic judgement of her governments.

Were you even born when she was in power ?

The fact is, every poll of the greatest British prime ministers ranks her as one of the best, if not the best prime minsister the country has ever had.

You may disagree and you are entilted to your opinion but you are part of a minority and history will remember her as a great PM.

This bunch of w@nkers took over an economy that was growing and through sheer bloody-mindedness and ideology have managed to turn it into a near basket-case.
