Caught it a while ago on a late night trawl around the channels - on SyFy when they actually used to have some decent movies. I've seen it a couple of times, and I'd recommend it.

I love you man :)

Thumbs from me on Dredd. Thought it was terrific. The Slo-Mo scenes in particular were out of this world.

A couple of movies to fill the day with , End of watch & Haywire . I didn't mind the cop movie , Kept me interested till the end although the camara thing was starting to annoy me a little. Haywire didn't really do anything , I preferred Salt over this film .

Watched Life of Pi last night. Cracking film. Great story, beautiful cinematography and great effects. What really made it for me was the use of 3D, mostly used subtly to add a little depth but where in needed to come flying out of the screen it was spectacular, easily the best 3D film I've seen yet.

I thought it was a really good film. Very violent, good action flick. Very reminiscent of The Raid: Redemption.

Got to admit I hated the first couple of slowed down scenes. And I do think an aspect of the slo-mo drug was ignored. If people are on that drug so that time seems to slow down for them, their reactions to the judges would have been too quick for the judges.

I like Lena Headey from The Sarah Connor Chronicles (and even more a TV drama about drug addiction from early in her career), but I wish they didn't give her the scar. Sure, it made her look much meaner, but hotness comes first.

The make up to supposedly make Levitt look like Willis was the most useless and pointless make up ever. He still didn't look anything like Willis, he just looked like there was something seriously wrong with him.

It's been fun.

Had a day in yesterday and got through a few i had on copy

Safe-Contraband-The Watch-Total Recall

Total Recall, had a better back story & setting than the original but nowhere near the same feel, couldn't connect with the Quaid character with Farrell in the role but not the worst film i've seen

Safe, enjoyed it but like a lot of Jason Statham plot holes a plenty and nothing special, you could have stuck a suit on him and called it Transporter (enter No. here).

Contraband, daft, don't bother.

The Watch, quite a few laugh out loud moments, which i suppose is what you want from a comedy film, not my favourite but i could watch it again if it was on the box, only trouble is you can see what's coming a mile down the road 6.5/10

Interesting article here on the portrayal of female characters in Dredd.

Aye, it was unnecessary and ultimately a bit distracting.

Dredd one of the best of the year and totally ignored by filmgoers. I am hoping it gets a better deal by word of mouth. This film definitely deserves a follow up, but is unlikely to get it. If you do one thing in January buy this on Bluray/DVD on it's release.
