did Live At Leeds, Rae Morris , Ellen and the Escapades & Ren Harvieu stole the show for me

last night I saw Newton Faulkner who was brilliant but one of his support acts called Amy Holford had a cracking voice on her

Not about a band, but didn't want to start a new thread cos am sure a mod would just move it to hear anyway

Where's the best place to start in terms of buying a guitar? My gf wants to learn to play and it's her birthday next month so would like to get her one as a gift - but should I buy a new one ( and if so, how much to spend on a first one? ) or should I get a 2nd hand one to start with while she gets into it??

My latest acquisition - The Autopsy Boys single and CD.

Look them up - blending punk with electro with other random bits. Eclectic would be a good description of them

Depends on what style of music she wants to play.

Also be careful not to get too thick a fret board as womens hands are generally smaller than mens.
