They've not exactly covered themselves in glory these past couple of decades, especially the Catholic orders and they still expect to get good PR "just because" ???
I do not how anyone in good consience can be a practicing catholic. If this were a non religious organisation the police would be battering down their doors and arresting a good proportion of it's hierarchy.
In spite of what Jesus was supposed to have said about helping the poor, they surround themselves ostentatious wealth in the form of gold and art among other things then lecture about poverty and the virtues of suffering in this life. Any preacher with more than one pair shoes is a hypocrite. They also neatly airbrush parts of scripture they don't agree with such as the "maketh unto thee no graven images" part.
Cue the OP to denounce them as apostates.
