It is comedy gold mind, listening to DomCum informing us the PM is an even bigger tool than we could have ever thought possible.

Come on Wiz, are you saying you don’t think Boris is a 100% massive tool already? For me his toolishness reached critical mass a long time ago.

I have changed the thread title !

What a FOOKING mess we are in.

I have 4 staff off atm .
1 with confirmed covid
1 quite ill and awaiting test results.
1 self isolating after being pinged
1 having to be at home as school class was sent home.

The team is in a worse position now then at the peak of the epidemic and I cannot see it getting better.

Between 50 and 60 % of people in hospital are double jabbed.

We have no idea how long immunity in the previously infected or jabbed lasts and any semblance of a coherent strategy has gone out of the window.

Current government policy is go to nightclubs and get infected then in September you cannot go to nightclubs until you have two jabs.

Talk about closing the barn door

What an almighty mess

I think Vallance quoted this at the press conference and then corrected himself later on Twitter saying it was 60% have not been fully vaccinated.

As a previous poster on here stated - his company had developed upwards of 30 different variants none of which were able to evade the vaccines - it would appear there isn't a strain anywhere in the world that is resistant to the vaccines.

I would suggest that is a very long shot - but just stay inside away from the rest of the world and you will be OK

So as an employer what are you doing to keep your staff safe - because it doesn't appear to be working?

You have always been sceptical of the vaccines - so your post simply backs up your earlier view point. Hospitalisations are very low as are deaths - what has changed since January to facilitate that?

How can you blame him for his staff being off ?

The NHS app has become a bit of a joke, with may people simply ignoring or deleting the app to avoid having to isolate and the lunacy of the situation is demonstrated pretty well with my lad and his pals.
My lad, in his early 20's got pinged a week ago after going for a pint in Leeds and is dutifully isolating.
However, the lad that he went to Leeds with, who doesn't have the NHS app is carrying on regardless, still socialising and going out when he wants.
The NHS app apparently is only for "guidance" and can be ignored

Of course the example set by Bojo, is subject to change, whenever he feels like it and with "freedom day" now upon us, should anyone actually be abiding by the app, especially if they have been double jabbed.
From August 16th, NHS staff will be told to ignore the ping, "to keep the hospitals running" and if ever there was a "safety furst" situation, surely, these are the very people who should NOT ignore the isolation "advice".

It's absolute madness

I believe if you are pinged it is not a legal requirement to isolate, it only becomes enforceable if you are contacted by track and trace by phone or text.
