RIP Tony

Hi Andy

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

I've read your posts, it sums you up perfectly.

Self righteous friend.

No doubt you'll pop back up in a couple of weeks to preach again after getting more ill informed unwanted comments from that idiot Ray Comfort.

Don't choke on a banana.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I really hope you don't have a position of influence over any children that may believe what you're saying is true! Blind religion is the true evil and people who believe every word of the chosen texts at face value, like you.

If you actually understood the bible, instead of just paying lip service to save yourself when you die, you will know that it has nothing to do with God, miracles or angels. It was produced at a time when science consisted of poking a dead frog with a stick and the only way to make people treat each other better was to scare them and make them god-fearing. The message mainly of the new testament is basically treat each other nice.

As you know, from our previous discussion, that is the teaching in the story of judgment day - a story you decided you don't have to comply with as long as you go to church and pray to yourself. You were found out then as a goat, and you have been found out here no better off.

I'm not bashing religion, Churches are nice places to go and generally have nice people inside them. If you understand the theory of the bible, you can learn a lot about yourself and how you can be a better person (I don't mean by sacrificing lambs and killing your brother). What I hate is when people unthinkingly try to push religious fundamentalism in people's faces and pass it off as what the texts says so must be true.

I feel sorry for Tony's family on his loss, however think it will be melancholic.

Sorry I don’t get the MP reference.

They are in no meaningful way "decisions" given that according to you each and every one was pre-ordained by your god.

What do you mean by pre-ordained? Tell me what that entails.

Utterly ridiculous analogy. At no time did you have foreknowledge of what would happen in any future event. You chose to view a historical event. A better analogy would be if you had created a player and knew that tomorrow he would be sent off, for fouling another player. As the event has been pre-ordained, he has no choice in the matter. If he does not foul the player and does not get sent off then you would have been wrong and for a god that would never do.

Your analogy does not work because it presumes that God sees things in a certain order. God exists outside of time and therefore looks back on things which have already happened, he watches things as they happen, and he looks to the future and sees what happens then.

God does not dwell solely in the present, looking into the future. He equally looks back on things which have already happened. If they have already happened, how did God have any say in them? Things are not just pre-ordained, they are as much post-ordained.

Say what? As predicted, you have just come up with some more metaphysical mumbo jumbo, as you invariably do whenever something is too hard. You just make absurd claims and state them as if they are some sort of fact, not a breathtakingly nutty proposition, based on no evidence at all. No, I do NOT "remember" that "god exists outside of time" - he does not exist at all.

I’m sorry, but the concept of God requires us to examine metaphysical questions.

* I mean it is nutty to say, for example, that women cannot teach, and I was wondering whether you agree that women cannot teach, which would be nutty. I presume, from your answer, that nuts it is?

Women do not have any teaching authority over men. That is what I believe because the Scriptures teach this.

I'm quoting your Bible! So at least you agree that some of the Bible is bollox? Progress, I suppose.

No I don’t admit that. I was saying that the passage you quoted does not convey any moral message from God.

Say what? What is he threatening to do "to David"? He's actually threatening reprisals not to David, but to someone nothing to do with the issue which so upsets god.

No.

This is the problem with quote mining on the internet instead of actually picking up a Bible and reading it. The threat is made to David.

Then you are a mysogynist anachronism. Shame on you. Your sexist and grossly unreasonable attitude appalls me.

You still don't explain why what is OK for Jesus is not OK for someone like the late Nicklinson?
Anyway, I have shown up your ramblings for what they are and youclearly have no intention of dealing with the above issue so that just about sums up your evasion and mumbo jumbo, really.

I think our favourite aardvark was meaning the Black Knight (no, not Batman) who starts a fight, ends up armless and legless and declares it a draw.

And as a parting shot declares "I'll bite yer legs off!"
