Re: Why ? : Tue Sep 28, 2021 3:03 pm
The UK's historical greenhouse gas emissions dwarf that of China and India, plus China is a world leader in renewable energy, and climate change technologies. It has also ceased all overseas funding of coal power stations.

Investing in climate change isn't just about renewable energy, it's about improving transport infrastructure, job creation, flood defence, and sustainable agriculture. All of which will have benefits beyond reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

I assume you're aware that for political equilibrium, there will also be a hard right.

So, I wonder where they are? Which party do they migrate towards - and what damage have they done to the UK in recent years?

I'm talking purely about the Labour party ,your kind of socialism has been dead in this country since the late seventies
and quite rightly you know been beholden to the unions, we could never be a Norway type of a socialist country unfortunately

Or the businesses wanting to give less or are you naive enough to believe that this government is not going to water down employment rights. The unions are actually probably more democratic and the reason many don’t like them is because they cannot be bullied unlike one individual worker.
I have seen where because of those that are part of a union negotiating better conditions and then people like you who like to criticise are happy to accept the benefits despite not contributing.
It’s a pity their pay awards are not handled the same way that those of business leaders are.

Like the opposite of Brexit, where something is voted in and we all take a hit.

Re: Why ? : Wed Sep 29, 2021 3:23 pm
That would explain a lot about you because it was the Nottinghamshire miners who believed Thatcher and became her enablers, how did that end up. How many pits survived in the Nottinghamshire area and what happened to the union they started with the governments help. They were sold down the river for believing she actually cared.
I would ask why were the government so insistent on not putting current EU employment law into U.K. law like they said they would. If you think it is to make them stronger then you are more a fool than I already think you are.
