Sadly you know I don't think there would be, its a matter of fact that the vast majority of parents simply don't believe that their children will die and don't insure them - they will insure themselves to make sure their spouse and children are ok, but they don't insure their children alone, I never did, never crossed my mind to do so and I don't ever recall an insurance policy aimed at protecting parents from the cost of a childs funeral.

I'm not absolutely sure (and what little insurance knowledge I ever had is way out-of-date) but I don't think you can insure children against death.

Years ago I was told that this was a response to the quaint old Victorian practice of insuring kids and then murdering them to claim the 'bounty'.

The older I get, the better I was

Advice is what we seek when we already know the answer - but wish we didn't

I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full-frontal lobotomy

I believe that they can be insured to cover funeral costs etc but the insurance industry perceive children to be of little value, hence the derisory amounts paid on suing any one/organisation for the death of a child

No. I don't read the Telegraph either. I read The Times (but I don't pay a quid to read their online version). If they come up with 300 as well then all that will tell me is that they have all got their information from the same source. I very much doubt correspondents from each paper went up to the group and counted them. There certainly didn't look like 300 when the Sky cameras were there.

But according to the leftie media, and I include the BBC in that, there was going to be loads of trouble at the funeral today, that's if anyone actually turned up (since obviously everyone hated Thatcher too much to bother turning up).

As it happened, apart from a couple of boos all I heard on TV was lots of applause in some places and respectful silence in others, and then some pretty desperate attempts by Sky and the BBC after the funeral to hunt out some protesters. Of those, the only comments I heard were about the cost of the funeral. Hardly a revolution on the streets.

So, it's a no then, unless you read it in The Times or saw it on Sky/BBC.
And because you only heard a couple of boos that means that the protestors didn't turn up.
And because objectors didn't turn up they are all mouth and no action
OK.
It does sound like you are disappointed to have lost an opportunity for outrage.

WHat you rolling your eyes for. It was you who said you hadnt read the guardian but bet they would claim that.

I quote

Never read the Guardian myself. I bet though they would claim 300 protestors who said nothing

Outrage? They were just classless idiots. Not worthy of my outrage. And they made zero impact too, which was great news.

You do have a knack of missing the point, I wasn't saying that you were outraged, but never mind, as long as your enjoyment wasn't spoiled by the 300 silent protestors that you missed, that's the main thing.
