Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

And if there's a hint at racism (I haven't seen the photo) then its more likely to be psychotic behaviour, with or without recreational drug use thrown in, which affects all skin tones.

On a similar issue there was a brief news item yesterday about "a student" who was prosecuted for causing cruelty to a hamster, he basically fried a live one in a frying pan one night.
His excuse was that he "was so drunk that he was at the point of madness".
I'm not sure how drunk you have to be before you decide to fry a hamster for your supper, or whether its actually possible to drink enough alcohol in one evening to make yourself certified as mad, I've never managed it before and I've not heard of anyone else who has, but is it just a general impression that more people are drinking to the point of non-control of limbs and emotions than have ever done in living memory (yes, I know, hogarths images and all) ?

My point is its young lads in major cities, I'm with you on the psychotic behaviour but the issue needs to be addressed with knife crime I'm sick of it happening and every time it turns out to be some young lad aged 16-22 from a major city.

Not exclusively though, most murders are committed by someone known to the victim, but to murder someone in broad daylight who is a complete and random stranger does suggest an element of mental illness, its certainly not normal behaviour for sane young lads, even so-called "gang members".
Absolutely disgraceful, I'm sick of seeing young kids stabbed to death in this country.
You must be very unlucky, I've not seen a single one.

On seeing the blurred picture of the murderer in today's paper is it time to talk about the elephant in the room?
Which elephant would that be, then, and why do you call it that?
More to the point, what makes you think that you are the first person to see knife crime as a problem to be tackled? I do wish people like you would actually try to educate yourselves at least a little bit before pitching up with inflammatory innuendo. In fact, knife crime has for many years been extensively reported on, investigated, analysed etc. and the process is continuous. There are lots of people working on the issue and have been for years. The analysis isn't helped by your kind of bullshit.
Oh, btw the knifeman been has sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Is that your elephant I just saw slinking away?

They've just sectioned the guy. He was not previously known to mental health professionals in the city. He did not know the victim.
So I'd be interested to know what policy you'd like to see introduced that would address random psychotics stabbing people they have no previous connection with.

Read some actual history – the phrase 'there's nothing new under the sun' exists for a reason. Because there's nothing new under the sun. Any suggestion that 'nasty things' are somehow a modern invention or the result of immigration are absolute BS.
That's not to excuse anything. But the knee jerk brigade needs to learn how to engage its brain cell.
