Over the years there have been few novels written against a Rugby League background, either in this country or in Australia. The exception is This Sporting Life, written by David Storey and later turned into a film starring Richard Harris and Rachael Roberts. Less known though is the fact that I have now written four novels in which many of the main characters are Rugby League fans, including the Welsh girl Thelma, born in Tonyrefail, brought up in a home in Cardiff and who drifts north to the fictional Lancashire town of Ashurst in the early Sixties.More details are provided on the web site below including how to get hold of a signed copy.
