I am truly interested, but again I ask - why would I research through the Bible and all the scripture to answer what I feel are very similar questions, when you can do so quickly?

Why are you dodging the questions? Surely it takes just as much effort to reply as you're doing now as to answer the questions? Shall we start with just one then - Fossils. Why are they there, how old are they, what are they if the answer given by science is incorrect?

Why would an atheist necessarily be "not remotely interested in scripture"? What a stupid thing to say!

I'm not a believer in any of the ancient Egyptian gods, but have always been extremely interested in ancient Egyptian texts, to cite just one glaring example. Old religious beliefs writings and practices have always been an integral part of human civilisations, and although we now know that (for example) the Sun is not actually a god called Ra, and that Osiris and Anubis and the rest don't actually exist, but the knowledge it's all bollox hardly makes it uninteresting, now does it?

The essential difference is I see the Bible (etc) as just such a collection of old writings, whereas you are just the same as an ancient Egyptian, who if transported through time to your house in 2016, would be as convinced as you are that his gods were the real ones, and that you were the atheist.

2. No explanation of how come you, as a person who recently claimed he took the Bible "literally" are at the same time able to ignore its literal words and instead claim YOU know that a prophet in the Bible meant something completely different to what he said.

Stan knows better than the literal words in the Bible! Impressive! Wonder how your local vicar would feel about such chutzpah?
