Been that the thread has been bumped up I'll comment.

Things look to be moving along nicely, Stand is really starting to take shape now,

I presume the public concourse is going to be on the ground level, with 2 entrances from the councourse into the stand.

Will the north and south ends of the ground be linked under the stand? Or once your in one end are you stuck there.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Are the changing rooms and the tunnel in the centre of the stand , that is how it is at Leigh , that area is what is known as a ' sterile ' area and no movement between each side is permitted

This only applies if council jobsworths are running it though

FAILURE ISN'T ABOUT FALLING DOWN, FAILURE IS STAYING DOWN..........

: Mon Apr 13, 2009 6:43 am
One thing about the East stand renovations/construction is that it's getting slightly reminiscant of the players leaving the field at Thrum Hall at the populated end of the stadium. Some of the things that have started to happen ie: the ref & t/j's getting a load of earche and the opposition players suffering the humiliation of the joyous home fans tormenting them as they go to the sheds, I use that word literally !!
Thrum Hall was ace for that, some folk used to move to the top corner of the ground 10 minutes before the end of each half to make sure they got their penny's worth at the ref

Other than the scratchin shed by players tunnel was the best place to stand at thrum hall, i remember being about 8 and thinking how big all the players were and you heard some interesting stuff as they came off the field!!!

I think it will be a case of once you are in one end you are stuck there. If there was to be some sort of corridor underneath the stand to allow for supporter movement it would take up too much space, meaning less facilities.
