Player Sponsorships
As I'm sure you are aware each year we attempt to sell various sponsorships to help keep our Club financially secure.
This year with the credit crunch it is obviously more difficult to fill all the openings and consequently I wonder if you may be interested in sponsoring one of our remaining un-sponsored players. The players currently without sponsorship are;
- Dave Wrench
- Anthony Bowman
- Dwayne Barker
- Matt James
- Neil Cherryholme
All of these players have played first team Rugby this season and will be expected to do so again throughout the season.
So what do you get for sponsoring a player?
- PA announcements when the team is announced, when your player scores, or when you player comes on/off the field as a substitute
- Personal acknowledgement in the new RL programme "Game On" which goes out to all Championship teams
- 2 x Bar Passes to admit you into the Sponsors dining area after the game
- Your players signed shirt at the end of the season
- A Magnum of Champagne if your player is the seasons ‘Star Man’
- The option to use your player for any PR opportunity
And the Cost? Well at the beginning of the season Player sponsorships were £550 plus VAT, given we have already played a number of games, we can offer sponsorship of the above players at £250.
Kit Sponsorship
There are also still a few players Kit Sponsorships available. At the beginning of the season the cost of these sponsorships were – Shirts £99, Shorts £55 and Socks £30 or the Full Kit for £150.
Again, given that we are now part way through our season, the costs for the remaining kits have been reduced to – Shirts £50, Shirts £25 and Socks £15 or the Full Kit for £75.
So what do you get for your Sponsorship?
- The signed kit from your player at the end of the season onwards, presented by your player, with a photo of the occasion.
- Personal certificate of thanks from the Head Coach, Matt Calland – an ideal memento to frame & display.
- Programme acknowledgement in each home match programme.
I am attaching a list of the kit sponsorships still outstanding in the hope that you may be able to take up one of them.
This is a great opportunity to help the Club and to become part of the inner circle of sponsors, with the chance to get to know the players better.

This is probably the best start to a season we have had for many years. We are still on course to be amongst the Winners in the various Cup Competitions so now is probably the best opportunity of all to be part of our winning team in 2009.
