I think this match should have been played before the main match like last year when we beat Fev. After the excitement of our (Leigh) win we didn’t feel calm enough to spend another 2 hours watching your game. What do you Fax fans think and how many supporters did stay behind to watch your match?

I can't speak for others but for me it really didn't matter when it were on as it was the only game that I went to see it was just a bonus that we got two new teams in the main event and it was also such a good game. I was disappointed with the production by the RFL though, video ref's for first 2 games and none for our "after thought". That was poor.

Back to the game I do think we still had those brain farts in our game(Louis & Obrien running it on the last and Woody kicking out on the full) but the difference today was how much fight we showed for each other and that helps you get past those mistakes. I think at times maybe we were a bit negative taking 2 but as it turned out it played out perfect and again I think we drop a goal over we avoid that late drama but as a group I thought we played superbly. Back 5 were fantastic doing the hard yards and Pickersgill I thought stood out and our pack fronted up to Batley who probably have the best pack in the league. I thought Kav really stood out and obviously Calcott was never coming off that field despite that nasty cut. Not many players get chance to play at Wembley so this group can be very proud of what they have achieved.

I agree, not so much for the game as fans present still created a good atmosphere - but it would have been great for the presentations at the end to have almost a full house.
Really glad I arrived early enough to see the Leigh game which was excellent- while I initially wanted HKR to win Leigh fully deserved it - you've done well to tie down Lam who was head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch.

Fantastic result for everyone involved at the club yesterday from the BoD, coaching and backroom staff who have put in an incredible amount of work in their respective areas to make it a special day.
At the final whistle you could see just what it meant to all the Fax players on and off the field and supporters in the crowd which no doubt mirrored everyone behind the scenes as well.

The day did feel a bit surreal at times and very different, which it was.
A lot of travelling, being at Wembley with the triple headers and different sets of supporters, Fax playing a different game from the norm, the extra nerves involved etc, but all said and done, great day, one to remember.

For me the challenge cup final should be the last game of the day. I just think that way the atmosphere would build during the day and would be better for the other teams playing before reaching a explosive climax just at the right time.
