On balance the best side on the day won. Hopefully we will learn from some basic errors and move on. Being a RL ref is not easy. Leahy is still one of the best, although he dropped a few clangers.

We didn't deserve anything playing 40 mins like we did that first half. Decisions bad by ref or not we simply were awful and never looked interested for the whole 1st half! We now have a job to do midweek in a long trip to Cumbria!! Why don't we learn from past mistakes??

If you go on the Bulldogs message board you will see that a fair few Batley fans are mad at the biassed ref and Touch Judge.
I was 14 and the Bulldogs Stats man when I learned that descisions go both ways and not to blame a ref for a bad performance!
If you watch the game closely and take off your blinkers you might enjoy it more.

Believe me I enjoy games, even when we loose, that's why I turn up week after week and have done for lots of years, an I am the first to give praise where its due. I think the first 40 was ALL Batley and I have already said. But when a game us lost due to poor, poor referring decision, don't call it whinging just because its pointed out. I am big enough to accept the defeat no matter how it comes but that doesn't preclude me talking about it and giving my opinion.
I have already said "fair play" to Batley for hanging in to the end. They had to be there to get the penalty. |

Ok, I accept many of you have been magnanimous in defeat, but there are still plenty of whingers on here.
To say the game was decided by a dubious decision just because that was at the end of the game is wrong. Every try and decision contributes to the overall result. not just the last one.
Personally I thought the tackle that James Martin made (1 on 1) on your 40 / 30 line was excellent. The ref gave a penalty and that started a series of plays that saw you catch and overtake us. Was the game decided on that dubious decison? Possibly, but I don't hear mention of that on here.
What really winds me up is the way that some of you accuse the ref of cheating but then end the post with 'fair play to Batley, they hung in there'. Just accept you were beaten by Batley, not the referee.
