Jeez we are a Part time team that has one of the smallest budgets in the Championship that has passed all expectations and made the top 4. Of course we are not good enough against FT teams! We were also missing some key players and down to the bones in certain positions. Also this is hardly the squad that RM has wanted. Some players are clearly not up to the level required. RM and his coaching staff know this and will be no doubt looking to bring in better players if they can. The team has done brilliantly and even if they have been found out a bit in the 8s have given there all. But Leigh have struggled for much of the 8s and were favs for the 5th position. I know the club have held some talks for players for next season and I am sure RM knows we need more strength in depth and more pace. But I dont see the point of being so negative after such a positive season especially after what we have had to put up with when KH was coach!
I did say what I was about to say wouldn't be popular and they do say the truth hurts, I agree both Fax as a team and RM have done well this season achieving what most thought impossible , getting to the 8's and I applaud them

Our centres are both slow and overweight , Leigh have put Sheff to the sword today , I was hoping we could beat Leigh next week , now it looks unlikely .
There's not much wrong with our pack and Muzza leads from the front , however we lack pace on the outside as Salford made us look like running in Diving boots at times, I was criticised for saying we MUST go full time next season , but yesterday's game proved me right, our fitness was lacking, another poster said when we equalised there was nothing in it , which is true but that was early in the game, I hope Brierley doesn't give us the runaround next week, and we have to go to Odsal yet.
Still I will be there cheering the lads on, bring on the Lankies next week.
