..... and it will only get worse. I considered not going today but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I now regret this as we were treated to continual intimidation by numerous groups of supporters, including women, around the ground. I certainly will not be going again and I heard at least 20 people saying the same thing to stewards as they were leaving the ground.
I go to watch Rugby League, not to be on edge throughout the game waiting for an eruption of violence!
Everyone going to Featherstone this year has been saying the same. There's only so many reports you can read before you realise it's not just a minority of idiots its a massive problem for them. Whether they are fans of the club or not they have to do something about it and they've so far failed.

They will tell you that the reduced travelling support is down to our recent poor form, which is tosh. The place has more than its fair share of idiots and they are not prepared to do anything about it....thus far!

And you did what about this? did you report it, get a picture, phone the police. And can you clarify what you mean bye intimidation? Cos I find it hare to believe you truly felt intimidated by groups of woman!
Here is my slant I reckon your upset because you lost again and thought you would stir the pot! I sat amongst a group of Halifax fans in the family stand who were very gracious in defeat and chatted with us through out, I suggest they would pain a different picture to yourself. The internet is great for making all sorts of claims you can not back up. And to be honest I think its about time this board was moderated as people seem to be able to make totally unsubstantiated claims at will.

what an absolute load of crap. Who is going to submit a picture of one thousand horrible fev raised weirdos to the police? What would that achieve? Horrible deprived place which probably brings about such ugly behavior.

My take on this, from sitting in the main stand, is that it IS very intimidating, and the large group, around the drummer, who continually sang "w@nky w@nky" and "cheating B@stard" throughout the game was watched by a female steward, who looked around 60 years old. What on earth was she going to do but just stand and watch them????

Ok Chris what should they do? what is your plan? take the report on here today did fax machine seek out the police in attendance and insist they dealt with the issue? if not then he is failing to report a crime, its easy to say Fev are not doing anything, but do you honestly think they want these issues? of course not.
It seems easy for other clubs supporters to blow every issue out of proportion or some supporters cos most of the ones i see at games seem to encounter no bother what so ever, and appear to be enjoying things without being on edge.
What a crap season this is. From Champions to zero's in 7 months. I feel sick inside. Roll on February 2012.
FFS, littledik, stop crying. You're like a big girl. Sign of a good supporter is to take the crap like a man. We'll make the play offs no problem. All this talk of relegation is nonsense. I'll no doubt have to dig this thread up come September saying "I told you so" (like so many other threads proving me right).

So what you are tying to say is its the chanting you find intimidating, the same chanting that has gone on for years at all clubs. Your right about the 60 year old lady, but then what would 20 blokes be able to do?
I am not condoning any violence or even the swearing, but come on if you really find chanting intimidating then you should probably go watch snooker!
I am not changing my view that nothing of any substance went on today infact both sets of fans were a credit in general and I think its churlish to try and suggest the chanting was some sort of real problem. Like I said in my last post I was sat with a group of Halifax fans in the family stand and I would hope at least on of them may come on here and give some balance to this kick fevathon!
