Keegan, well I seem to remember Karl Harrison saying about him that even he as an old man could do a better job than Hirsty and that was obviously when Keegan was a few years younger.

Will tangata cut it in SL guys. Hirst has been v poor this season not a good swap for you guys if Tangata any cop

Opinions will differ but I will say he will definitely give it a 110% shot, his attitude is right and he won’t be coming just to mess around.
He’s had a number of injury issues over the last 3 years and at a lot will depend on how that side of things work out.

If he had a good run without injury he might have a chance and if he produced his form after he settled in for us then again he might have a chance. Truth is apart from the semi final where everyone played well, the last 3 years he has spent most of the time injured and looking a shadow of his former self. The love in for him coming back to the club was a little cringe worthy considering his contribution over the 2 seasons before especially considering it was Calahane that we really missed.

All that said I do hope it works out for him and in a full time environment he may make the improvement he needs to step up and hopefully a good move as well for Hirst as I don't see him been a worse player than Tangata so I don't see the move as weakening our pack at all.

You're wrong, Greg, that's why the deal has been described as a loan deal until the end of this season. Tangata will then revert to being a Fax player in 2020 unless someone pays us off.

But I do agree with you as to his contribution the last couple of years. What the fans love about Tangata is his general attitude and his potential. But he's certainly behind all his fellow forwards in terms of performance, especially Fairbank. I think there's a fear that he will all of a sudden become really good again once he leaves!

Also can't understand some negativity regarding Hirst. He always looked very good when he played for Batley against us, and to be fair he cannot be singled out as "poor" for Wakey at the mo. When I've seen Wakey on SKY they've been awful, and I'm sure Wigan would have got 80 the other week had they not put the cue on the rack at half time.
