Maybe this swap thing has something to do with Butler and Grix and just bugging something up like clubs do.

Still don't see the love fest for Tangata, not see anything to suggest he's worth the fanboy obsession. Might be a decent bloke I'm sure he is but his performances certainly don't warrant it.

Adam is the type of player that will shine when playing alongside "complementary" team-mates. He's not someone who can do it all on his own. He was a different player when playing alongside Mitch Cahalane, and we really need someone of that ilk to come into the forwards (as well as the halves).

The whole episode of him re-signing was way too much. It seems he's mates with some of the "super fans" we have who were instrumental in running the bring him home campaign. He's not done anything for 3 seasons. He should not need other players to shine, way people went on you'd have thought he was Sonny Bill Williams when trying to bring him home. Good player, yes but not seen it for many a season now and really should be standing out with the euphoria over him. Would have been far better putting the money raised into a half back instead of a mates favour jobs for the boys signing which this was. Maybe he needs a pre-season who knows. We needed backs to score points, a centre we have lacked for 3 seasons now, not another forward, just think money could have been better spent and sentiment got in the way.

I await all his friends now and people he's shook hands with to start name calling.

in this weeks courier.
courier sport understands a player swap deal with a super league club could bear fruit before this weekends game.
tangata fate for 2020 remains uncertain as wanted by at least one top flight club.

Agreed and I would imagine if Grix has tried to sort out the swap to bring the Wakey half in then he might think so as well. Im not sure the deal is still on the table though.

Any signings/swaps now have to be based upon building for next season as we haven’t much left to play for this year.

Before that happens I would suspect the new board will need to understand if we have any budget to spend, as I understand the past board owed almost £50k in rent and there are some big holes (again) in the club finances and cash availability.

Mate you do this every season and its getting a bit boring now.
