Crusaders Fans - 26th April : Tue Apr 14, 2009 11:55 am
I believe that you are the next team to play the Crusaders at the Brewery Field on the 26th April. I make no apology for posting this warning as I am so angry at an incident which happened on our visit there yesterday.....the area in question is the terrace to the right of the pitch as you enter the ground...the terrace has a `hospitality`gantry above.

I appreciate that for the most part Quins fans were well received, unfortunately the welcome was not all hearts and flowers.....I was stood in the main group of Quins fans on the terrace and ended up having to mop SPIT off me......as the Crusaders `fans` on the gantry above were SPITTING on the Quins fans below. Plenty of other Quins witnessed the incident. I made an official complaint to a nearby steward who got security involved......absolutely F`in disgusting and the Crusaders supporters involved should be ashamed of themselves. It ruined my day and I am totally frustrated and not being able to do anything about it...hence my post which I hope will have some impact.

I have been a long term Quins/sports fan and have never ever experienced that at any other sport or stadium.......and I used to be a Millwall supporter!!!

It`s not the first time I have visited their ground, never had a problem before, but needless to say I will not be going back. Absolutely F`in disgraceful.

It is a one off you get one off incidents at any event its hardly worthy of spitting your dummy out over, and certainly not worthy of warning other fans off over. The incident happened it was reported it was dealt with - surely that should be the end of it.

As I saints fan I was at our game at Brewery Field a few weeks back and we had no problems, infact we found their fans to be very welcoming indeed and this has been the case the previous two times I have visited the ground.

To any cas fans who are going when you play there I hope you have a wonderful time and I am sure you won't have any problems

Spitting on opposition fans is disgusting. What did the stewards do ?

Yeah that the spirit.......ignore a problem and it will go away  . Perhaps next time it will be a bottle/glass that falls on the opposition instead of just SPIT, perhaps that would be a little more newsworthy.

As I said the incident was reported. As for action taken.......a steward stood nearby and kept an eye on the Crusaders `fans` in question.....with the comforting words `if they GOB on you again we will throw them out`....nice!!

I didn't say ignore the problem, you dealt with it there and then and now posting things like this are nothing more than trying to stir things up and create problems between groups of fans.
