So if you get a thee match ban you miss the next three games against the same team? The player could have left the club at the end of the season. Or what if it's a cup game vs different league opposition? You might never face them again.

Of course Disco, as you say it's not an easy thing to be imposed and as you say could even be impossible, it seems unjust though that the team a player "sins" against, will have to face the same player again later in the season.

I also think that laying on after a tackle is completed should be seriously looked at, the ref having to shout to the players to release the tackled player is a joke, a number of teams seem to take this to the limit and it is ruining the game.

After watching the SL GF last night, one rule i would change would be when a player gets held up over the line and they get the play of the ball again, Matt Diskin was held up last night but surely the defence as to be rewarded for holding him up, instead of course Leeds played the ball again and went on to score a little later (the controversial try), instead i think Saints should have been able to have possession.

That would just discourage players from trying to force their way over when their close to the line. And yes it's good defence but surely better defence would be stopping the player before he gets over the goal line?

I could not agree more watching the grand final on saturday. I lost count of how many times when the players made a tackle and they were on top of player with ball they were looking at ganson and not moving until he shouted movement. This needs to be sorted out asap.

Id get rid of the "On Report" rule.

If a player has committed an offence worthy of going on report, he should either automatically get sin binned or sent off with a panel reviewing the dencision anyways...

On report is a cop out for the referee's and im sick of it....

I agree, given that players can be cited after a match anyway without going on report, the whole nature of putting something 'on report' is just a cop out for the officials.

In theory, the on report rule is a good rule, for instances where the ref doesn't get a good view of an incident, but as you say, it is generally a cop out for refs.

I would like to see every game under the scrutiny of a video ref (as in Oz) and if an incident is put on report, that could be quickly scrutinised by a video ref and if appropriate, a player could be sent off and thus the team being sinned against could gain some kind of recompense for maybe an illegal tackle or serious foul play, anything in fact that could result in a ban should see the culprit sent off.

Another rule I would like to see clarified or scrapped, is the voluntary tackle rule. We were of course victims of this against Catalans, when Rangi Chase thought he had been tackled, probably cost us the game.

I can't see why a player should be penalised for putting the ball on the ground and playing it? an advantage is not gained from doing, in fact the opposite is true as it's another tackle completed.

Surely placing the ball on the ground should be deemed as a tackle being completed, with a play the ball to follow.

I would also like to see ball stealing (when more than one player involved) allowed again, as invariably the ref comes up with the wrong decision here.

E.g. a player loses a ball in a tackle and either a scrum is given or he is penalised (where the ref has missed a ball steal in 2 man tackle). The other is where the ball is lost in a tackle and the ref decides the ball has been stolen and penalises the tacklers.

I've seen so many wrong decisions given this season (both ways), that I've lost count, of course Sky camera's help me spot the referee's mistakes and I don't really blame the ref's for getting it wrong, I believe it would be much fairer and less mistakes would be possible if this rule reverted to the original ruling, when the player with the ball was responsible for retaining possession.

i would like to see one rule introduced/one tweaked....and that is the knock on. for me if you drop the ball whatever way your facing you should be relieved of possession it would clear the whole thing right up. the only expection would be ball steal which if not one on one carries a penalty to the team in posession.

also one other thing, this whole downward pressure thing is getting a joke and that freeze frame technlogy is making a mock of the game. for me it should be simple, coudl the player in posession equally lift the ball back up off the floor. some of the more recent decisions given are a joke and the biggets clown stevo make sit even more uncomfortable to watch!!
