Cas get honour of last ever league visitors to Knowsley rd : Fri Dec 18, 2009 3:32 pm  

Saints have confirmed that 2010 is their last season at Knowsely road, with the club moving into its new stadium in 2011 season.

A look at the fixture list shows Castleford have the honour of being the last league side to play at the ground.

Should therefore make for a special occasion on the 3rd of September when Saints make our farewell to the old ground.

I agree.

Lets get over there in number and give them a night to remember, and they will remember if we win the last league match there

Knowsley Road has been around for about 115 years has it not ?

nice thought but in 25 years of watching cas i think i have seen us win there twice maybe 3 times so i am not holding my breath but i am sure it will be a good send off for the saints.

Yes,

However you are still the last LEAGUE side.

Went to the last game at Wilderspool and the first game at HJ Stadium a few years back, always nice to say goodbye to the old Stadiums.

It is an honour to be at the last game IMO.
