Pxxs taking allready started regarding Terry Matts unfortunate accident at the weekend.Watching Calender tonight in which the Cas coach was being interviewed,then the cams switched to Ryan who stated it was confusing now when the Cas coach sticks his fingers in the air and instucts the ball to be kicked on the fith tackle.
Jocking apart Terry Matt put it into perspective when he said soldiers were losing their lives{refering to the local Cas lad)

i feel even more sorry for the soldier that died in action myself,than your light hearted view of matters

What's a soldier dying in action got to do with Matterson losing a finger? If you don't like someone's light hearted views for no reason then so what? There's light hearted views on every post and there's people who die every day, there is no link.

In an interview, Matterson made a comment along the lines of "I've lost a finger, but the whole thing is put in perspective when you hear about the local lad who lost his life in Afghanistan". I'm paraphrasing of course, but that is why people are talking about the two things.

I don't know why people are getting so irate though. I don't think anyone is being disrespectful to the lad or his family. In fact, people have been quite the opposite.

Do some people have nothing better to do on this site than basically moan, do these people watch local news around cas or read local papers. why do people think matterson was being disrespectful to the soilder that died??? in my eyes and im sure 99% of other people his comparison was stating that his finger injury was nothing compared to the conflict that is happening elswhere. I thought terry handled the situation brilliant, in my opinion i couldnt believe how he played the situation down, "its only a finger" bludy hell its still a finger lol.

Exactly, which is why Matterson said that hearing news about the soldier put the thing about his finger into perspective. How people can misinterpret that is beyond me, unless they have a seperate agenda...
