I'll be going if Cas run a bus just for the day. Not interested in an overnight stop.

Somewhere nice.

Watching it on the box, cheaper and easier. And will be very enjoyable with cheap food and drink and the old recliner. :)

never far away from my boys

we have been to cardiff and the last 2 years at murrayfield, and i have got to say cardiff in our opinion was by far the better experience, however the last time we were there it was May so a bit warmer so able to walk around cardiff and find places to eat and drink not tied to paying top dollar in the stadium.

We stayed outside of cardiff on a caravan park which was full of rugby fans, unfortunately this isn't open in February so probably quite a lot of families who find the caravan option a lot cheaper will not be able to go.

If the event had been as in previous years on the may bank holiday we would have been there but the expensive accomodation, the unpredicatable weather, and the posibility of having to travel back to yorkshire late on sunday and getting up for work monday means this year we will be watching on tv :(

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

February in Cardiff will probably be as warm as Edinburgh in May.

Personally can't wait. First time I'll have been for the whole weekend, been once to Cardiff & Edinburgh previously just for the day. But with this years event also being the kick off to the season I think it gives it a greater bite of excitement.

The saying 'bent as a 9 bob note' has now been dropped.....corrected phrase is 'bent as the RFL!'

OK don't shoot me for all the number fiddles that go on with these attendance figures, however here is what they claim.

2007 - 58,831
2008 - 63,144
2009 - 59,749
2010 - 52,043

Can anyone alse feel a sub 50K attendance on it's way?

George Bush says 'we are losing the war on drugs'. Well you know what that implies? There's a war going on, and people on drugs are winning it! Well what does that tell you about drugs? Some smart, creative motherfookers on that side."

The best combination would be Cardiff in the summer. The weather was actually hot in May a couple of years ago. It really helped create a carnival atmosphere.

im going on the clubs 2 night trip with my son,i didnt go last year has i hated it at murrayfield the year before but ive enjoyed my trips to cardiff in the past.

has a football fan who goes to games in winter all ill say is pack some thermals and a flask has 90 minutes in the cold is bad but 4 games in a day in febuary could be fatal if your not rapped up.thinkn us summer rugby fans have forgot how cold winter rugby was.
