Visit //www.geofflee.net for details of my novels 'One Winter', 'One Spring', 'One Summer' 'One Autumn' 'Two Seasons'. and "Three Good Years" All six feature Rugby League against a humourous Lancashire/Yorkshire background and are inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller."
On Wednesday January 19th, Huddersfield University are holding a reception to celebrate the success of their Rugby League Up And Under Project and the launch of a book which carries interviews with over seventy people all associated with West Yorkshire Rugby League: players, referees, club officials, journalists and supporters. In the book which is titled "No Sand Dunes In Feathersone. West Yorkshire Rugby league Memories" are included interviews with Mick Morgan, John Sheridan, Tommy Smales, Geoff Smith and Frank Wagstaff who all have a Castleford connection and an interesting tale to tell. The reception will be held in the large conference room Level 7 of the Central Services Building of the university's Queensgate Campus: 12 for a prompt 12.30 start. The main speakers will be Peter Fox, Mick Morgan and Dr Rob Light, the university Rugby League Oral History Project Leader.
The book will be available on the day and can also be ordered through any good book shop or direct from London League Publications on their web site http://www.llpshop.co.uk
