Has joined York City Knights on a month loan, very impressed
the few times I've seen him play, any thoughts?

He is too good for that level, But struggled a little last year when given a run in our squad.

Did impress me in the friendlies though. Will probably be your best player now out in the centre.

Agreed. Potentially very good player but needs more experience. I'm not sure York's the place to get it but it will help him to match fitness which can't be a bad thing.

That is interesting. I wonder why the club didn't want him to go to Wakefield. Their recent plight would be the obvious reason, however a greater guarantee of weekly run-outs at York would support my previous theory that the main purpose of the loan deal is to get him some consistent experience and match fitness.

If he went to Wakey he would be with them full time, but if he goes to York, I would imagine he would still spend the majority of the week training with us. Probably a better way for the club to monitor his development

I worry about these deals - I think JT is one niggle or knock in our current 18 from playing every week again and I worry that he goes to York.... Bigger fish and smaller pond, gets games every week, more highly thought of and potentially could earn a few more quid and this turns his head in the short term and he asks to make it permanant.

We have seen that happen lots of times with fringe juniors - I hope JT doesn't let this happen and he keeps faith, he is far from fringe with us and I hope he plays, plays well but remembers he is in our long term plans.
