Think it speaks volumes about Child's manner of refereeing that no supporters want him at their games. I'd rather have Alibert who seems to be doing a much better job this year! Either that or Child's incompetence* is taking attention away from him Shame we've got this plank on Friday. Takes the thrill out of a good rivalry and puts the attention on something that shouldn't be an issue.

*Knows the rules inside out but applies them as a pedant with little understanding of the way the game is played, thus putting undue strain and inevitable frustration upon the players - and crowd!

For the love of God....what were they thinking?

Two matches we've had with him in charge and two bad experiences. Doesn't bode well. Just hope the fans don't let their frustration with this muppet get the better of them. Better still, let's hope he actually has a good game....

This is the 3rd time we will have had this clown this season. 64 penalties so far, he will be looking to push that up to the 100 mark this Friday!

I notice Leeds have only had him once and that was when they played Wakefield!

Sure it is, and so it's wakeys too just like any other team. But we don't adapt our games to suit the referee that's crazy! It's not about which referee you get, well at least it shouldn't be. The point with Childs is he referee's each game differently to other referees and he referees his own game differently to what he just said five minutes ago. He's a pedant, and he'll pull you up for something and then miss three markers who aren't even square. He'll penalise one team and then not the other and then later reverse this doing it the other way. He's the one who needs to work on his game and get a grip.

Watched him ref the salford v bradford game and he wasnt that bad. I would assume after the all the bad press about him someone from the rfl as had a word in his ear about the penalty count. I predict Cas to have a field day on Friday night they have too much for wakefield to handle .
