Thought it was an enjoyable game (not just because we won). Two sides who went at it to win the game with effort for the full 80 mins. Both had good spells and both could have won it. From our point of view, If we'd done a few more simple things right we could have won it with a bigger score. We seemed to drop the ball on the 2nd or 3rd tackle all of our own fault and not force Salford back with simple kicks to the corner on the last etc. We gave Salford an invitation too many times and it's something Terry and the lads need to sort. We could so easily have lost the game, I feared Salford could run the length with some of the guys they have. Not sure who i'd give my Cas MOM to as there were plenty of players who had a good game. Good to see McGoldrick put in another good game, if we can get his passion and enthusiasm of old he's a definite match winner for the future with some of those short passes out wide! Ferres did well again, some massive tackles put in. Rangi's 40-20 was superb and I don't think anyone expected Danny to go for the line and win it for us, quality. Glad I managed to get to Salford again for one last time. It's an old ground, but has great character. Look forward to visiting in their new home and hopefully a few more Reds fans can get behind them as even for a rainy friday night it was a poor turn out (not a dig at the fans who are going to the games btw). Saints v Wigan? P'ah, we got the better deal tonight! Proper game of rugby.
