Rangi Chase : Fri Mar 20, 2009 10:59 pm
The guy was awesome tonight, plays a lot like Richard Horne. He has pace, power and a great rugby league brain, great recruit.

Best game in a cas shirt by a long way. Was very difficult to tackle tonight and was involved in most of what we created. Nice to see him and Sherwin play so well.

Definatley his best game so far. I've been quietly confident that as the season progresses we'll start to see the real Rangi and as time goes on TM will give him that number 6 spot every time. We actually now have a proper RL half back partnership with Rangi and Shifty. Shifty directs the play and moves the ball about and Rangi is that unpredictable stand off who attacks the line and causes loads of problems.

I think we saw the half-back pairing of Chase and Sherwin finally starting to work tonight and it certainly looks promising.

I have to admit it's good to Richard Horne getting back to his best though - Hull really missed him last season.

Thought he looked too much like Thackaray for my liking and before tonight the team didn't really seem to understand what he was doing. Tonight he played a real quality game though and looked like he can be a great signing for us :D

Fantastic result, but and no disrespect to our overseas chappies, where has the half back pedigree gone from cas, we seem to have now moved on to forwards, ?

But great that we have quality halves

What puzzled me was that when we had an attacking scrum with our put in Chase was at 7 and shifty at 6 ....his passes to shifty were not, shall we we say a spin or fast pass, would have thought that the form he was obviously in last night it would have been better for him to attack the oppostion rather than proving passes for shifty.......just 'nit picking' .......from 1 to 17 thought that they all stuck to the task and a big rap must go to the faithfull who whenever we fell behind the fans undoubtedly lifted the team....... this was vindicated when we continually refused to give in and it was much appreciated by the team when they came back and saluted the faithfull....this clearly was shown when McG gave his shirt to the you kid at the front
