Bottles : Sat Jun 27, 2009 7:37 pm
For what its worth I thought that IAn SMith was right on the Rangi Chase voluntary tackle decision and should have gone to the screen for the Pelo try, but the issue mainly rests with the video ref which I think is a flawed idea but.....

....my main issue is the bottles at the end of the game. We embarrased ourselves and the minority damaged the clubs reputation. We all had something to say when Leeds did it in 2006 but it was pathetic. Noone can tell me Ian Smith's performance makes that happen.

I said the same about Leeds in 2006 and I'll say the same again - any club who's fans throw things at players should have a 2 point deduction. So Leeds in 2006 and us now should have lost 2 points due to missiles being thrown on the pitch.

Agree entirely, I wasn't at the game but any throwing of bottles deserves serious sanctions against the club.

Smith was poor - no doubt - but he wasn't a reason we lost the game, we managed that all by ourselves.

Referees are the only guys who can rob you and then get a police escort out of the stadium.

Elima and a few others started making gestures to the crowd as the hooter went. That's when the bottles started. Obviously emotions were high but that was very unprofessional and uncalled for.

I think that's what triggered it off. Smug players after a win just riles the fans even more. That's not to say what some fans did was called for though.

Not nice at all to see bottles raining down on the pitch.

If the Cats didn't taunt the crowd the bottles would have never been thrown. They're the professionals and should know better.

 tell me your joking with that statement, I hope their are repercussions for this incident totally and utterly irresponsible from your fans, I have had games where I have thought we was hard done by but wouldn't lower my standards to violence to the players or officials
 sad day for rugby league
