I See this is a young lad that has been released by the Rhinos, who can play stand off and loose forward. I Don't know much about the 20yr old, but is he worth giving a go. He's english too. He played 5 games for Leeds this season and cannont get a game for the likes of McGuire and Sinfield.

Was thinking the same myself would offer us cover in the halfs and at loose forward (both positions we need more cover for) is english, wont be that expensive either i would imagine.

Matterson/RW whoever should have been on the phone to his agent as soon as he was released, he's just the type of player Cas need in the squad, young, English and can cover positions the team are light on. Would be a good signing.

am guessing he has something lined up/signed already.......he has left while under contract.

Until a contrat is signed though it doesnt matter, he will go for the best offer.

I guess there is a lesson there to any young player looking to join an academy. You are probably better off at Cas or Wakey if you want a decent shot at first team rugby. Maybe this was why the Leeds academy team was so pants this season!

Lets face it, its the wrong time to be an up and coming youngster at Leeds. With an excellent team and some good players in reserve, the younger generation like Allan wont get their chance. Leeds cant keep every promising youngster on their books as they will want to chance their arm and find 1st team football. Can't blame Allan really for moving on and progressing his career.



I think he'd do a good job for the likes of your team or one of the lower ranked SL teams, coming on as an impact player maybe, if there are no starting positions to suit him.

Especially when you consider how they are now bying in from doncaster, whitehaven and wakey rather than promoting from there youth system. Having said that the leeds academy has been poor the last few seasons.

Especially when you consider what we've bought from Whitehaven & Wakey - very good buys imo and wont do any harm bringing in those players and developing them abit further into becoming top SL players.

They may well turn out to be so and be able to plug the gap from the lack of academy success in the last few years. As long as there young and english its good for rl.
