my girlfriend says i'm immature, and it's time we set aside one day a week so we can talk things through as adults.
like THAT'S gonna happen in the middle of conker season!!

what the derby means : Sat Jul 17, 2010 10:12 pm
I BORROWED THIS FROM ANOTHER CAS SUPPORTER AND COULD NOT HAVE PUT IT BETTER, MY EMOTIONS WERE AND ARE THE SAME AS HIS

'Where do I start, well we owe them big style and I hope that a player or 2 reads this and understands who we all feel. Twice they've dealt the knock out blow and sent us down, twice we've picked our self up and bounced back.

Given the importance of getting a SL Licence for the next 3 years, tomorrow's game is arguably more important than those 2 and as I stated at the start of this post we owe them big style.

The 1st time we went down, I stood in the WRE, whilst knowing what had happened, not daring to believe it. Someone was gonna pinch me and tell me we were staying up. No-one ever did. That season though, we have to face up to it we were not good enough, by a long way. Even so it hurt...........Oh did it hurt.

The 2nd time was in some ways more painful. Half a win more and we stay up, 10 wins and we stay up and we had 9 and one draw. THat year we beat Leeds on a blazing hot day and we celebrated that victory in style but it seemed to derail our season, if we beat Wakefield in our next home game instead, we stay up........Aaaarrrgghhh!!! It's so frustrating to think how close we were. That evening at Polecat Park, I stood and watched their fans invade the pitch, taunting us, teasing us but credit to our fans that night we didn't rise to the bait. Again I stood silent, almost refusing to believe it had happened again.

Watching Cas has never been anything but a bumpy ride, but I can remember endless victories against Wakefield. The Yorkhire Cup Final with that David Plange try, when mergers were high on the agenda we hammered them on Easter Monday 80 odd nil........the list goes on.

The Jungle will be packed, I'll see friends, relatives, neighbours and work colleagues. Some will have Amber & Black on, some Red, White and Blue.

At the end of the game, we need to be the ones that are smiling whilst they are leaving feling sick and miserable. We need to give them a taste of those oh so bitter pills we have had to swallow. We have to show everyone that Castleford Tigers are THE TOP CAT

We can do it and by doing so take a step nearer that top 8 finish and let it be a catalyst for their slide down the league.

Whatever your opinions on employees, individuals, players et. lets show that we are a club united and show everyone in the rugby league world that Superleague needs Castleford Tigers!!! '

For whats it's worth I think you will beat us today :( But I hate & enjoy these games we have against each other  There is just something about these Cas / Wakey games that I love to watch. I think we should both enjoy them at the minute cos if the RFL get their way and can see both clubs going out of business cos they have decided the fans need new grounds to stand/sit in and watch the game. We have stood in a poophole they call Leeds Headingley for years and will still have to even after our would be grounds are built.

We only have to stand in bad grounds for a maximum of 2 hours we have done it for years so why can't we carry on as long as they are safe.

New grounds would inflate admission prices, people are losing jobs hand over fist whats the point in a new ground if it's empty cos we can't afford to go and watch :( :(

Anyway back to today lets get down to WR and enjoy the game no matter what the result is and also remember big Adam Watene

Todays derby game is like nothing we have experienced before.

Here we will stand 2 teams who have been rivals on the pitch for years however we are now united in the uncertainty of Super League survival neither of us knowing where our future lay, is it at Glasshoughton or Newmarket. Two sets of supporters who appear to have been fed various spin on New Grounds by Bod's who have probably been aware all along that groundshare was the only possible alternative and preparation has probably been going on in the back ground for many months hence the lack of progress to both develpments.

Today we need to show that we are united however the eyes of the rugby league powers that be will be all over us and it is important that neither sets of fans give them an excuse to toss either or both aside once the licences come along.

Perhaps you were there 2 years before at your place when Cas fans invaded the pitch and did exactly the same? :ASK:

Should be a good game today depending on which Wakey turn up, first game I look for when the fixture list is announced, hope it doesn't rain.

Don't worry about the rain. Away fans also have a stand with cover at Cas.

George Bush says 'we are losing the war on drugs'. Well you know what that implies? There's a war going on, and people on drugs are winning it! Well what does that tell you about drugs? Some smart, creative motherfookers on that side."

I just hope the idiots stay at home today. We don't need any more fan trouble, otherwise we WILL be without a license next time around

I reckon they read it out at half time. Would you please write one for us :(

Congratulations on the win, and good luck for the future.

I'm sorry maybe I'm out of order but i don't want any of Wakie's congratulations after they sent us down twice.

They can go love themselves for me.
