What are you happy to do? : Mon Jul 19, 2010 10:28 am
I see that Wakey have a poll on their forum where their fans are voting as to whether or not they'd be happy to share at Glasshoughton. I'm curious to see what people think here but thought I'd open up the options a little more.

Please vote on which of the following options you would be happy to go along with. Vote for as many or as few options as you want.

Reply in here as well with what options you choose so we can see whether the poll results are actually a fair representation of Cas opinions.

Ideally stay at Glasshoughton with or without Wakefield.

If push came to shove I'd probably have reservations about going to watch Cas at Newmarket but may find myself eventually going.

Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. Who needs flankers' grammar was actually correct.

Ideally Cas at GH
Probably Cas with Cats at GH
Eventually forced Merge at GH but team will become known as a Cas team over time.

I would never support a move to Newmarket because my feeling is that as soon as we share with Wakefield in any stadium it will only be a matter of time before we are forced into a merger. If that merger is at Glasshoughton then I feel we would retain our identity enough for me to support the club, if it is at Newmarket then I just don't think it would be the case.

If Glasshoughton falls through, then we stay where we are now and whatever will be will be.

I'll support rugby league in Castleford and have massive reservations about it going anywhere else.

Let them play in our stadium for an extortionate amount of rent, tell them to pay that or get kicked out of SL, we don't need them, they need us.

I want RL to continue in Castleford, ideally under the Castleford name but I'm realistic that they may not be the long term case.

I would watch Cas at Glasshoughton, I would watch a merged side at Glasshoughton, I would watch Cas in the Championship at The Jungle but not week in, week out but I would be very unlikely to watch a side at Newmarket.

I just couldn't see me, or the kids, watching a side that wasn't called Cas. I'd rather suppport Lock Lane and Panthers if Cas and Wakey merged.

Ideally it would be Cas at Glasshoughton, sharing with Wakey if needs be. I'd possibly go watch Cas if they shared at Newmarket, but it would only be a matter of time before a merger if that was the scenario. If it eventually meant CAs cutting their losses and going down to the Championship and playing at Wheldon Road, so be it. I'd still support them, it'd still be Cas and that's what the town needs - it's own club with it's own identity.
