Home Attendances : Mon Apr 11, 2011 8:38 am
I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but with yesterday's attendance, our home gates are now 18% up on equivalent matches from last season.

The average of 6438 is also now less than 200 below last seasons average with the big gates still to come.

Definitely worth shouting about!

I noticed this too (not in as much detail of course!)...... I read a lot and hear a lot of talk amongst people and this season has started to feel like the 1999 campaign (v early days and I hope I don't live to regret typing these words).

There seems to be a momentum of enthusiasm around everything we do at the moment, on the field, off the field, in the stands - sometimes you only need a few small things to go your way and the whole outlook looks different.

Long may it continue, we have created this kind of atmosphere in small spells before - challenge fir 2011 is can we keep it going when we have a wobble or some things go against us?!

Re: Home Attendances : Mon Apr 11, 2011 9:08 am
Attendances will obviously depend on results. I know a fair few fans who in the past have been all geared up to come to games, then they make the trip and saw a shocking display of rugby from a team who on the day looked like fish out of water. That one game turns them away for a good few months. So far this season we have yet to put in a poor performance, even Bradford away wasn't that bad and the fact we seem to turn games around rather than collapsing should work wonders. We've got to hope a few more fans make the Wakey game, the result goes our way and that these fans get the bug back again. The results so far are helping and the attendances for these games are showing that the fans are coming back.

Thats only the start tho, Our attendances will keep slowly rising throughout the season IMO, every home game left as the potential to be 9K+ barring the Quinns game. And not only that were improving in EVERY other part of the club.

18% is poor? Sounds a bit bitter to me....stroll on the 22nd :MOON:
