The positives and the negatives : Mon Apr 25, 2011 6:59 pm
Firstly, a fantastic performance by Cas!! One of the best that I have seen them put in, in terms of effort, for a long long time. Really well played guys!!!A great atmosphere today, provided solely by the Cas supporters. Credit to you/us all, it was non stop support and singing through the entire game. This shows that it is 'us'......'the supporters', that create the atmosphere even in squeaky new stadiums.
However in regards to the St's fans, who are usually a good bunch, I barely heard a peep out of them today. Their vocal support of their team was poor, in fact non existent until after the final whistle.
Phil Bentham.....well I am stuck for words. No matter what the result will stand, however there were too many mystical decisions that I'll need to see on video before fully commenting. However, lets just say that it wasn't his finest hour, and he needs to brush up on how to handle 'tackle counts' and 'knock ons' before spoiling another, otherwise great game.
Note to our stadium comittee, the 'run off' area behind the try lines and touch lines needs to be wider, and without the concrete kerbing as at the Stobart. These are a serious injury waiting to happen!!
One more negative.....Huby's injury, I wish him a speedy recovery. One hell of a player, and work horse.
Concluding thoughts a great peformance by Cas, and fantastic support from the cas Barmy army.
Roll on Friday!!!
