I feel I have to come on here and complain about a section of your fans at tonights game. I do not tar you all with the same brush. I was actually sat with a friend who is a cas fan and he looked embarrassed by the fans behaviour. I sat in our family stand this evening partly for cover but mainly to ensure my 4 year old son could a) see and b) nit be subjected to bad language. Instead a group of your fans decided they would come up and proceed to stand for much of the game. When asked politely if they would mind sitting so that my son could see all I got was abuse. They continued this throughout the game and in fact got worse. They seemed to delight in the fact that this not only annoyed me but frightened my son. They ignored and taunted stewards knowing full well that they outnumbered them and there was little they could do. We told one of them they were out of order as this was the family stand and his answer was "we don't give a f***". I feel very sorry for the good people of castleford that you have a section of such dispicable supporters that would make a 4 year old firghtened in the family stand at his own ground.

I was so disgusted i think i will go on tinternet and tell the WORLD

Getting older is mandatory; growing up is optional.

You dont get a desegnated seat number when you enter the stand,if a few vibrant. passionate, diehard fans (sounds like something we need) ruffle your feathers, then move....

It's so easy....

Better still.just go the 3pm k.o's when it's better suited for 4 year olds.

No wonder 'rugby fans' get peeved off with 'tyrant typers'.

Well Done Cas,good luck in the play offs...

You're not kidding. Had to work in Wolverhampton today and got away at 3pm. The traffic was shocking because for some reason 90% of drivers seem unable to control their vehicles when a bit of rain falls from the sky and as a result, all the radio stations decide the conditions are treacherous. I got to Cas at 6.30pm to pick up my Granddad who always travels to away matches with me and after gobbling down my tea (which he and my nan had kindly prepared for me), we were on our way along the still treacherous M62 (puhleeeeeease) wondering how the hell we'd make it in time. After legally abandoning the car somewhere we walked into the ground at 8.03pm which wasn't a particularly bad effort I thought.

Anyway I'm sure there were many others who struggled tonight but still made it and injected a fair amount of money into Salford's coffers. There was plenty of space so people could happily move around if they weren't comfortable where they were. You have to wonder though how wise it is to designate a stand where the majority of visiting fans congregate as the family stand. At the end of the day, people can moan all they like on here but there is absolutely NOTHING we can do about it. That, I'm afraid is down to the stewarding and management at individual Rugby League grounds.

To die of thirst we have no fear.

The truth is that the stewards were hamstrung by the fact that they have no power to actually remove supporters fromthe ground. If they try to physically remove someone no doubt a law suit would ensue in todays litigation crazy World. I for one will be making this point to our club and suggesting that some sort of police presence is needed. Sad I know but if that's how we make sure the yobs stay in control then so be it.

As for the family stand.... yes it is poorly located and we do accept that there will be some colourful language from the terraced area in front, but it was fine when we were in that stand for the Warrington game. The issue was that the abuse was directed specifically at the Salford fans in there and not just the odd bit of bad langauage that you get at games.

As for difficult journey... I live on the Wirral and trekked 45 miles for a home game via Manchester airport to actually pick up my friend FROM CAS who was about to go on holiday and was taking in the game first. I then dropped him back to his hotel on way home (another 45 miles). Isn't that the kind of camaraderie we want in RL.

KICK OUT THE YOBS from ALL clubs

in sympathy with chrismum regarding the young one being present among the idiotic minority, what went on in the small club next to the ground was beyond belief, some of the home supporters went to the extreme and really let down the salford club. there was youngsters present there also and they do not want to be seeing those kind of scenes that took place.

My point is that in a FAMILY STAND I should not be expected to move to avoid idiots with foul and abusive language and intimidating behaviour. It should be them made to move and as for going to 3 o clock kick offs, how many of those do we have at Salford? I thought we were in the business of encouraging kids to go to rugby league games. But apparently I shouldn't bring him to support his home team in case other people can't behave themselves. No wonder we don't get big crowds with that kind of attitude.

Oh that was just assaulting a rival fan and throwing beer bottles at him rather than on the pitch.

As I have previously stated that we have our share of bad apples. However having a go at players who are not performing for one reason or another is a far cry from scaring a four year old in a family stand.
