Has been known to play there but mostly at prop. Have to say I'm a bit surprised, thought with Sarge, Huby, Higgins and Jackson we would have been looking elsewhere to strengthen. That is, of course, if the deal is still on.

i heard this rumour about a week ago but payed no attention to it as we seem to have plenty of forwards but when i think back a few years matterson signed so many of them you could have named a team 1 to 13 of forwards so i guess it could happen.

I've just realised who you may be thinking of. I hear we were interested in Wairangi Koopu but a deal couldn't be agreed, and nobody was sure whether he would be quota or Non-Fed.
