Some crap getting talked here!! only reason for this tread is that the council won't bank roll 2 grounds, get over it!! wakey fans need to wake up and smell the coffee if the council had not given them 400k a few years ago they would have gone to the wall! then last spring S.W.A.G telling fans to vote tory!! if wakey ever becomes a tory council both clubs will get sod all.

do they have no shame

Its always suprised me how there are parts of wakefield with tory affiliations in such a labour heartland.

i think you have hit the nail on the head there mate, this thread has all come about because one of the wakey fans compalined on there page that flanshaw library is being shut down and its all escalated from that, they do seem to have very short memories as if it were not for WMDC the wildcats would have gone to the wall many years ago, Anyway i dont see why they are so up in the air as from what they have been telling us recently they dont need any help from the met as there ground is all but sorted or is it as certain wakey fans keep telling us about our ground (all smoke and mirrors), Anyway in answer to the question the old authorities are long gone now, the damage has been done by a tory government and continued on by a labour one so i think who ever was incharge of our areas nothing would improve so we may as well sick with WMDC, oh and keep up the good work mr Box

That's the sore spot for me. Having a man in charge of any desisions that get made regarding either club is a serious conflict of interest when you consider his involvement with CTRLFC, both privately and proffessionally.
All we ask is a fair hearing because as you will see in 10 days our cards are well in order and a substanially way further down the line than what most people think.
This is something your equally a part of and are equally entitled to use, something for you to be as excited as me about!

Like it or lump it if your from Cas your from Wakefield.

thats your view pal not mine, just because we come under wakey council does not make castleford in any way linked to wakefield and to suggest peter box would be biased against you just because he has a couple of shares in the cas club is ridiculous, i hope it goes well for you and you get your PP passed but if you dont it will be nothing to do with mr Box being against you.

Think it fair to say Mr Box as nothing to do with planning, so i fail to see the conflict of interest. and after all is ward is in castleford!!! as long as the council give us whatever they give you, then its fair. am not excited about it at all i dont really care.

If you had the power to disband the MWDC and form your own town council once again, would you?

Was in the local and got speaking to a Cas fan who agreed the WMDC isn't meeting the needs of all citizens.... SO is it time for seperate councils once again?

The citizens of Castleford are always very proud of where they are from, which is something i wish we had more of in Wakefield. Just wanted a wider consensus, not often i agree with tigers fans...
