Well they're not, obviously...

It's a shame that amongst that there is plenty of vitriol doing the rounds

It's the future that matters now for both clubs - not the mudslinging and paranoia that some fans (of both sides) have had in the past.

Indeed, I wish we could just support each other, but some of the pathetic posts over the past few years from Wakey fans claiming to know everything about the Cas development, the Cas finances and EVERYTHING that's going on behind the scenes has turned a lot of Cas fans against the Wakey development, when all RL fans should be supporting BOTH grounds for the good of the local area and RL in this country.

As I said on the thread in question - I do hope that we both get our new grounds (with the Wakefield ground being completed first of course  ) but I do get the distinct impression that Richard Wright is being a better spin doctor than Alistair Campbell and that many Cas fans would be very surprised with how far behind the true position is to the PR story given by RW at every occasion.

I see you've missed the whole point of what I said then.

I can understand that any Cas fan will want to believe that everything RW spins out will come to fruition (I'd be the same if I had the misfortune  to be a Cas fan), but over the last 18 months or so my impression of his various statements on stadium progress has basically been a rehash of what he said in his previous release.

That said, RW does have slightly more credibility than Gordon Brown in relation to what he says in public. Then again, if you still believe what GB is saying then there really is no hope for you let alone the country.

I'd be delighted when RW can make definite statements about definite issues (like when a final design is known, detailed PP obtained, finances fully in place) and I'm sure Cas fans would be happy to work on the basis that "no news is good news" rather than have what is basically the same statement issued every couple of months.

If only we wakey fans then we could have plans for entirley new stadium every so often eh

One thing you are going to have to get used to with your new stadium is that there are going to be delays and not all target adtes will be met, as you have already experienced.

I do wish for wakeys sake that some of you put half as much effort into helping swag as you do discussing our stadium, if everytime a wakey fan gave his twopeneth about our stadium a brick was laid you could have been finished over a year ago. And then built another stadium on top.

As you will see from my detailed response below, I got the point very well. You were making an ill-informed attack on someone regarding a subject you clearly know little about in order to get a response. This is, indeed trolling.

Now, to your reply:

RDM wrote:

Another sweeping statement showing your complete ignorance of the facts. Read the posts on here. Many Cas fans DO NOT believe everything that RW says. The rather patronising "misfortune" interjection is pathetically juvenile and I am surprised that you would put this into a defence of your original childish outburst. Any statement of this type is, of course, trolling.

RDM wrote:

This sentence brings nothing in terms of information to a debate. It is merely an attempt to cause insult and offence. This is, undoubtedly, trolling. After all who was it who posted only a few days ago...

Guess Who wrote:

It's rather difficult to take this seriously in the light of your subsequent post!

RDM wrote:

Again, you have not been reading these forums and are showing your ignorance of the facts. Many Cas fans have bemoaned the lengthy times in between statements from RW, saying that no information is being given out and we need to be informed. The facts of the matter are that Cas are going ahead with the stadium project. A site has been allocated, initial outline planning permission has been granted, architects have been appointed to submit initial plans, funding is being sorted out, a partner in Waystone is in place. Whether Mr. Wright says anything or not does not alter these facts.

You have come on here, complained about RW giving no new information, and yet supplied no new information yourself. You have been insulting and patronising and you have made a crude attempt to try to cause people to start arguing with you.

I therefore stand by my original comment. You are indeed an ill-informed troll. Your reply to my first post only confirms this, I'm afraid. And, unfortunately, so will any response you try to make in a similar fashion.

:D

Happy New Year!
