First things first, if they're going to have anyone performing there then the sound needs sorting! This will probably be sorted when/if the new stadium gets built. Ear bleedingly loud and that's coming from a lad in his mid twenties!!
If they are going to pay for 'entertainment' then I'd agree that choices could be better. To pay fire breathers and jaded 80's rejects to perform on a terrible sound system seems pointless. You can't please everybody but are they even pleasing the majority right now?
If decent performers aren't available then save the money and let local performers (like the young lass) sing for free. Even if people aren't too interested, it's good experience for them and won't see the club out of pocket. If anything, it's all good PR.
