I'm a neutral so no horse in this race but where did you get these from? I know what you mean about the incorrect play the ball but, as Stevo & Eddie said, incorrect play the balls litter superleague at present so Ganson would not have been justified in denying a try on that basis. If the obstruction is what I think it is, then it simply wasn't obstruction. Your player tackled the dummy runner and that was very clear. I don't know about the offside as there wasn't an offside possibility discussed and I didn't notice an offside during any of HKR's tries.

The last try was a bit of a strange one in that I didn't know such an interpretation of knock on (or rather not a knock on) existed. I automatically thought that final try was a knock on but it would seem not. Something to do with it not having hit the ground before being grounded, or something (like I said, a strange one).

From a neutral's POV a draw would have been the fairest result as both teams made silly errors during different patches in the match, both teams had varying defences at different times in the match and both teams played some extremely entertaining rugby league at most times during the match.

I always look forward to watching Cas as they always, always produce some great attacking football. But your guys really do have to get over letting sound leads go at home! It must be so frustrating as a Cas fan to watch that happen!

There was no dummy runner, Watts stepped forwards from the play the ball into the Cas defensive line creating a gap for the dummy half to go over and score in, the offside was Cockayne's try the player directly to the left of Dobson was a metre or so in front when the kick was placed. As for the incorrect play the ball, sure it goes un-noticed most of the time, but the video ref CHECKED it and still decided it was legal, when it should have been a penalty on review.

Yes we may have been robbed. But I tell you who I blame. Matterson. Get your coat what sort of a coach sends his team out with 16 men and has a young hungry kid sat on bench for full 80 minutes without using him. its hard enough in this league without having to do it a man light.

Ganson WOULD have been justified in denying it on that basis as that is one of the rules.

As they say rules are meant to be broken and rugby league officials excell at it when it suits their agenda.

I'm absolutely disgusted. I don't really want to watch a sport that's as bent as this.

I'm happy to accept losses. I'm happy to admit if we were poor, which we were tonight at times. But I cannot accept decisions like that.

the rfl got the result they wanted, been saying for years that superleagues bent, it just seems youre all catching on to this fact,

time for us to tell sooopa doopa league to kiss our hairy arses and we will get by nicely in the national leagues , where honesty still exists

as for bent ham and his bum chum ganson , scuse me mods but what a pair of wankers they are

as much as id like to blame tm, he is doing a job against the s/l that no other coach is

im off to get vexed now :DRUNK:

The ref and video ref didnt kick the ball dead 3/4 time(sherwin)
The ref and VR didnt drop the ball 3/4 time when in the KR 22.
The ref and VR dont take wrong options.
We beat our selfs, we dont have any killer insinct and we didnt have a leader out there.
On tv at home cause we lost.
What a player we have for a month, hat trick of tries in his first game and only trained with the club 2 days. Tbh i feel a bit sorry for him cos he played his heart out, pity the over paid australian super star didnt show up to night, he should now go home and lets get a SH who wants to play for cas.

Who exactly do you think should have come off to allow Thompson to come on? That was comfortably McGoldrick's best performance of the season. After last week, there is no way, failing injury, that Sherwin would come off. Ainscough scored a hat-trick. Wainwright was playing well. Shenton, Evans, Chase? None of our backs deserved to come off today.

I think the reason Thompson didn't get on tonight is he is not a forward, which is what we needed. However, TM had to make the choice to put a back on the bench in case Sherwin did get injured and have to come off. In hindsight, given the heaviness of the pitch and the resulting affect on our forwards (am I right in also thinking that Ferres went off injured as well after the first try?), someone like Netherton would have been great to spell as SR or hooker. Unfortunately, TM cannot see the future. I think he made the right choice in putting Thompson in the 17, and the right choice in leaving him on the bench. He had nothing to add that wasn't already there.

At the end of the day, we had lost that game a long time before that nonsense decision at the end. We should have had it wrapped up by half-time. What was lacking out there today was not a hungry teenager, but an experienced leader to instill some discipline and composure.

What about KRs first try given by the video ref dont the rules clearly state the ball must be played by the foot whats point in even having rules!!!!!

If they denied that try for that reason then surely from this point on every video referee decision should start with the play the ball to see if it was played correctly?
