Goldy was and is class, Shifty was OK for me. Half decent kicking game for once, but Rangi was a threat every time he touched the ball, and a decent kicking game too. Rangi and Goldy for me were the stars. Not Sherwin.

He's amazing that chase if he was more of a threat than a bloke who scored two tries

Seriously though i dont think your giving sherwin enough credit, he was involved in most of the good stuff we did and scored two tries, the kick to dixon and the resulting try was probably my favourite moment of the match.

Getting older is mandatory; growing up is optional.

Credit where it's due, I though they both made a massive contribution to the win on Sunday; however to silence many of the doubters they'll need to find some consistent form as I think it became apparent that their performance can affect that of the rest of the team.

You know what, I was thinking about this too - I find it hard to get too giddy about 1 good and 1 quality performance - but Shifty himself must be looking at the back and of this season and thinking how he wants to sign off from the game..... Doggies fans would be shocked to see how he was almost shuffling away un-noticed.

I think something inside him has changed he looked different - he won't want to bitch out at the end of a highly successful career - I think and I hope there is more to the man than that - watch this space I hope for the remainder of this term.

Was saying something along similar lines to me mate. Hope we are both right.

Another play who deserves some credit is snowie, i know he mucked up that kick but it was a bad bounce and he was under alot of pressure. He saved a try, scored a try and ran as hard as any prop on the field up the middle.

Yep, Catalan chaos every time Rangi touched the ball !!

Dixon, a 6 foot 4 winger deserved far more credit than the scrum half for that try, not exactly what he's there to do but he put a marvellous kick over for Sherwin didn't he!!

Sherwin did what he's paid to do, and no more in my book

Just been reading casforum, and someone on there put 'I also think that some people will refuse to ever acknowledge a decent performance from Sherwin.'

Chase is a more threatening individual player but when shifty is on form he is far better at organising our team, which is less noticable than chases individual plays.

And yes dixon did put a good kick in, after recieving an even better kick from sherwin, which allowed to sherwin to take the ball in the air and score a good try.

His performance was OK, call that decent if you want.

You are missing my point though, both great kicks, but one from a scrum half who should be doing things like that, the other from a winger who won't put another kick in all season!!

Thats the differance though a scrum half has to kick over and over again through a match, and if he does a bad one it gets remembered more than 5 good kicks, other players might put in a good kick in occasionaly but know one blames them or remembers when they put a bad one in, only the good ones.
