It is good that attendances have increased but how many are actually paying to get in??? its all very well to give tickets away to promote interest however at some point the club needs to start making money and people need to start digging into their own pockets to watch a game.
Also headhunter why didn't the club advertise the game why kick off at 6 i think you are the one looking a little bit silly here - your club didn't promote the game not casfan4 life
Everyone pays to get in. Crusaders have not given away a single free ticket this year.

The game wasn't advertised because nobody at the club wanted to play in Neath, the only reason for the fixture being played in Neath was because Mike Turner(the same idiot responsible for the visa fiasco last year and more) signed a contract at the start of the year that the club couldn't back out of without being sued. The games in Neath have been a waste of time and made a big loss, the club probably just wrote them off and rightly so. Mike Turner is also responsible for the stupid kick off time. The blame falls solely at his feet.

Crusaders RL are delighted to announce they have smashed their 2009 attendance records with three home games to spare.
2010 Super League attendances for Crusaders already total 48,374, which is 687 more than the total end of season amount for 2009, with three home matches remaining. With bumper crowds expected against St Helens and Hull KR, the club are aiming to break the 60,000 barrier and bring in an extra 12,000 fans compared to last year.

Making progress!!!

Ticket have and are being given away believe me I know this as a fact - i know this first of all because all clubs have an allocation to give away as promotional, also I happen to have family within the the powers that be at redhall

Yeah you're right. The player's wives, directors and sponsors probably all got free tickets.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

Would be funny if you did make the playoffs, 50 hairy Welsh women singing green grass of home at Headingley.

I do not know any NL sides that average 5k. If you are surprised that there was a poor attendance for a game played hundreds of miles from either club's support base, at a time when the majority of people who may have wanted to go would have just finished work, with no local advertising and in a stadium that makes Knowsley Road look like Wembley, then you're even more of a dope than you first appear.

No more of a dope than the clown whofixed your game with a 6pm KO. But as for average attendance of 5000 + here goes

V Hull (good away following) - 6794
V Catalans - 6124
V Hudds 4127
V Cats (in cup) 1817 (where is the 6000 plus that watched the league game)
V Wigan (good awayfollowing) 6075
V Bradford 2979
v Wakefield 2837
V Wire (good away following and playing well this year)-5197
v Salford 2412
V Cas 1495
V Quins 1122

That is only 10 homegames plus cup so have missed a couple but they would have had to have been huge attendances to make it 5000+ as the above does noteven give you 4000.

Also seems to methat the better you are playing and the higher upthe table you gothe smaller your attendance!!!

The only game you're missing is Leeds, where they had an attendance of 10336 for opening day of season.

Average attendances is 4500 roughly with that added in.
