Jessie Joe Parker - Potentially a very good centre, he could and should have been the best centre in the Championship last season. Obviously his time was cut short due to his sons illness.
He was great with the ball in hand and had that little bit of flair that would win that close match.
However his pace was lacking even at the Championship level and his general attitude to me seemed poor of somebody who should be wanting to earn the right to play in competition be it Super League or Championship.
His agent mid-season penned him a contract at Wakefield (allegedly) and with his son 'ill' the best decision was him to go back home and not go back again. Good decision Fev.
Now myself and a vast majority of Fev Fans would agree that he wouldn't cut the mustard in the Super League, if he was going to sign a deal at a Super League team, it would be one of the weaker sides (no offence to Wakefield.)
Would I have him back at Fev? No. We got the chance to bring through a youngster who tried his best and did okay in his first season. Should you sign him? No! Your so much better than that. You'd be better off spending that 30k on his wages/flights/accommodation on bringing through your academy.
Good lad in person, can't knock him for that. But was hoping he'd sign for Wakefield then I could really see if I would be wrong.
