Arundel is going to be one hell of a player for us this year and could even turn out to be better than Shenton. Westerman was never really as good last year and would rather have Ferres playing there personally and have a cracking full-back in Mathers.

I don't actually read crap like that because just like everything else it's biased towards Leeds, Saints, Wigan, Warrington and they don't look much into the "smaller" teams.

Having watched Mathers play at Wigan id have to say he definately isnt a cracking full back

Play-offs are a very realistic target I think and a good start to the season would do a franchise bid no harm at all. Obviously not as much as cement going in, but every little helps!

Funny because for him to have played in the NRL, Wigan, Warrington and Leeds you wouldn't think he was crap now would you?

Yet they all got rid of him rather quickly, apart from Leeds where he opted for the nrl i beleive. Im not trolling here just giving my opinion on a player i have seen first hand

Orr was great at Cas and not given his head at Wigan which is why he slipped from his previously high standards. Tim Sheens said Adrian Vowles would never make the grade in top flight RL, but he went on to become Man of Steel. People's opinions count for little - including mine!

Yes but he's gone to Warrington and improved considerably. I'd go as far and say he was best English full-back last season bar Wellens and one of the best full-backs in the competition.

Having watched him play for Wigan, the sendings off(2 i think?) the mistakes and general play i would not have wanted him at cas this year, however he seems to improved 10 fold from those days and was probably close to player of the season at Wire, He has looked good in pre-season and i think he has been a very shrewd buy for us.
