They forget because they're too busy being bitter. Should concentrate on supporting their own team.

don't put us all in the same box...i really wanted cas to win today and you were the better team on the day...defense was excellent but the tackle which McGoldrick made was imho pathetic! he should have had confidence to wrap the ball up instead of going that high.. you should be proud of your players today

Corrected.

Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. Who needs flankers' grammar was actually correct.

HTH.

It's ok. If the crusaders win against quins (and they are at home) Wakey will be bottom of the league on points difference unless they beat Warrington away. I'm sure they will go away then. Maybe time to get the wooden spoons out?

Some of them have been OK and stated their support. Usual suspects otherwise but don't really care. Shouldn't really be talking about Wakey/their fans, we should be reflecting on an excellent Cas performance.

thankfully you mentioned some , perhaps in hind sight kicking the penalty was the undoing as it gave Leeds the ball back within a few tackles and then the try but ifs and maybes n hindsights hey!.

gutted for cas for the club , fans and town really genuinely routing for your lot to win it today and then bring it back to west yorks , to get so very close must be gut wrenching . i would like to say better luck next time but obviously i want my club to be the one .

castleford did you proud this time round , leeds will still be breathing very heavily tonight.

guess it leaves us with the question none of us wanted cheating pies v rhinoes........ i just hope the refs have a good game

MC your right both times we kicked penalties some of the players wanted to run it, they couldn't believe that we were going for 2.

Totally disagree. We weren't creating as many chances as Leeds but even they opted for the two in the first half because it was obvious tries were going to be hard to come by regardless of position/possession. To suggest the successful penalty conversion may have been our downfall because the resulting kick-off put us back near our own line ignores the fact that we were comfortably moving upfield until Davies inexplicibly threw a forward pass under no pressure whatsoever.....shades of Andy Lynch's game turning brain fart in the 99 semi.

SM I wasn't suggesting that the penalty was our downfall, all I was saying was you could see be the reaction that certain players wanted to run the ball as they must of felt that they had Leeds back pedaling at the time!

For me going for the two points was the right decision, get points on the board and keep the score ticking over. It was knockout football after all!

I had 2 concerns about us going for the penalty. Firstly it wasn't an easy one and he could miss and secondly, when he kicked it the possibility that Leeds would take a short kick off and so get the ball back in good field position from which they may score a try. However neither of those things happened so it seemed like a good decision.

You cannot legislate for an otherwise good player throwing a needless forward pass that gave Leeds the field position from which to score a try, in the same way you cannot allow for stupid penalties such as the one where McGoldrick pushed a Leeds marker over in front of our own sticks which gave Leeds good field position.

Unfortunately it was these occasional silly mistakes that allowed Leeds to play a large part of the game in our half and so constantly put pressure on our line to the extent that despite excellent defence from Cas it was inevitable that we'd eventually score a try.
