You, "sir", are a helmet of the highest order. Yes, you deserve to be hammered, for making such a ridiculous statement. Having been an everpresent on the Wilderspool/HJ terraces for the last 31 years, I have NEVER heard homophobic abuse (Ian Roberts, anyone), and racial slurs (which were common place across many sports) were a thing of the 80's. Would you care to substantiate your comment, or were just tarring my (and Hull's club) with a rather nasty slur. PRAT
I was suggesting not about chanting but about the other trouble you cause, Semi final last year then fighting with the steards week or so later at the DW and the beatings you handed out to a group (women included) of wigan fans near the train station which the club and police are investigating after getting cctv footage. But, lets not turn this into an anti-wire thread please.
C'mon all decent Cas fans (thats 98% of us) lets all move to the Princess Street Stand!
The pi$$ed up chavs who stand right at the back of the Wheldon Lane End might not be brave enough to shout anything remotely offensive if they don't have a crowd to hide behind,& if they did they would be easier to round up.
Also we could influence the officials more stood along the touchline.....FOOOOOOOOOORWARD!

I don't deny some of our scummier "fans" and the daytrippers, when ever a big game comes along, don't cause trouble. THEY DO. Unfortunately, virtually every club (and society) have them. But you go on the offensive, and accuse a club which hasn't been named in the incident (homophobia) of causing trouble.
Let me remind you, Pieman, I've been on your website this season, and seen posts from your own speccies, saying the behaviour of some of YOUR scummier "fans", has been appalling. People in glass houses.........etc
The RFL have set a very high bar now regarding not tolerrating discriminations against players. I do hope they do not think it is OK to make fun out of people with ginger hair as that would be the same of this issue. I would fully expect them now to come down on Leeds and Wigan after the below comments;

its not appalling its just not expected...get it right. Went on the defensive not offensive. I didnt accuse you or homophobia I said ther behavior, bear in mind Cas have had the fine doubled due to unruly behaviour earlier in the season. I still feel its madness as every ckub give opposing players grief.
George Bush says 'we are losing the war on drugs'. Well you know what that implies? There's a war going on, and people on drugs are winning it! Well what does that tell you about drugs? Some smart, creative motherfookers on that side."
Spits coffee all over the screen. WHAT. Shurely shome mishtake. Would we not have heard of this murder.
No the Wire fans ate him, and the RFL kept it secret. Nigel Wood has friends that work for MI5 you know, and he as actually a really thin bloke, but he wears a fat suit as a disguise then Cas fans don't recognise him! Its so much you wouldn't believe it was true!
The posts of "were XXXX club fined for YYYY?" posts on this thread quite pathetic. Why do you suppose that just because another club "got away" with anything that it means your club should also get away with this?
Legislation doesn't work like that. If someone is accused of murder in court, using the defence "well, Lord Lucan got away with it" is not likely to get you off.
As for other comments saying a fine is totally unfair, and wondering "what could the club possibly do about it?", I suggest you read the tribunal findings, which state that the fine was for... "failing to take steps to stop the homophobic chanting, for failing to identify the perpetrators, for failing to challenge the chanting and for their failure to undertake a meaningful inquiry afterwards". The third of these the club may be able to appeal against, but the other three the club quite plainly did nothing to address.
Instead of moaning, why not try to help your club address these problems. There is only one Cas poster so far who seems to have taken the initiative to do this.

after deciphering this "text" Pieman wrote:Im not saying its right mate but have wire or hull been given any such fines? they are worse than yours
I call that going on the offensive against my club.
This whole episode was literally "an accident (sic) waiting to happen", and unfortunately for Cas (as a club) are the first to take the rap for it. Hope Cas as a club bounce back, the offenders are found and banned from every ground in the country, and we move on.
Strewth, even the Rugby League hating BBC news have put this on their radio bulletins this morning.

Equity? Balance? Fairness? Strange concepts to a Wiganner maybe, but quite a lot of people stand by them.

No, but if a taxi driver was hauled before the courts for not having a bale of hay in his boot (or whatever the archaic law is) then he might have cause to wonder why he's the only one picked on when it's patently obvious that every f**ker else is breaking the same law too.

They took steps. As I understand it they made tannoy announcements and sent stewards into the crowd.
talulah wrote:

Again, as I understand it Cas have had CCTV installed to monitor the crowd, but perhaps we're missing a trick here. Do other clubs insist on passports and DNA swabs?
talulah wrote:

They did challenge it. You concede they 'may' be able to appeal this.
talulah wrote:

No idea if they did, but the word 'meaningful' makes this entirely subjective anyway.
