[quote="Poker Face"]Back on topic...

On reflection my thoughts of a top 4 finish next year are extremely optimistic. Leeds and Saints will be top 4, with the other 6 places up for grabs.

Very true, but my point is a valid one. We will be battling it out for the positions below 4th, but against much improved opposition than this year. Just look at how Wire, Bulls and the Cats have finished this year. They will be much more difficult to take points off next year.

Next year will be a tough one for us :!:

Unfortunately I've got a bad feeling that this might happen.

Yes we've strengthened the team for next year but so have a lot of other teams.

Think your team have done extremely well,you should be proud of them.Next season could be difficult for us all,it really is hard to see what's gonna happen,Cats have come good,Wire will get better,Hull i'm not too sure about and Salford and Celtic will have to improve heaps just to get away from this years finishes.
As for the referee's discissions(sp),I think all fans think they're hard done by but some you win and some you lose.
Enjoy it,the boys done good! :wink:

No surprises here.. I think it's been a hell of a season. Undoubtedly aided by the fact that Hull, Bradford, Wire and (to an extent) Quins have all crashed and burned in 2009, but we're not the only ones to have benefited from that and to me this is something we'll have to get used to as fans - the franchise system will throw up surprises.

I know there are those who think this and think that about the board, about the coach, etc, and that's fine - we all have opinions. I'm often left speechless at the wide range of differing views and I happily concede that those with them probably know a lot more about this great game than I do. I do have to laugh though at those who seem to think they somehow know better than the ones who actually have a coaching badge or the ones who've actually put their own money into furthering the club and its aims.

For me I can't see us improving on our league position much in 2010 - worst case is we'll slip a few spots - but I have to say that (assuming one or two of the aforementioned 'big names' are likely return to some kind of form), i'll be very happy if we can manage to stand still (ie: just about make the playoffs again). Worse than that will be a tad disappointing - albeit understandable. Any better than that (6th or better perhaps) would be f**king astonishing.

Another threadkilled stone dead by a good post. Wish people would stop doing this :lol:
Our time will come, but we have to get our stadium first. Then we'll see some fireworks on the pitch :wink:

George Bush says 'we are losing the war on drugs'. Well you know what that implies? There's a war going on, and people on drugs are winning it! Well what does that tell you about drugs? Some smart, creative motherfookers on that side."
