All we ask is a fair hearing because as you will see in 10 days our cards are well in order and a substanially way further down the line than what most people think.
This is something your equally a part of and are equally entitled to use, something for you to be as excited as me about!

Like it or lump it if your from Cas your from Wakefield.

No it doesnt, a bureaucratic change in goverment has no effect on where you come from.

No thanks we have our own ground being built, and as for these community facilities for all we are constantly being told about, as far as anyone knows the only ones using the facility will be trinity so it makes no differance to us whatsoever.

Some crap getting talked here!! only reason for this tread is that the council won't bank roll 2 grounds, get over it!! wakey fans need to wake up and smell the coffee if the council had not given them 400k a few years ago they would have gone to the wall! then last spring S.W.A.G telling fans to vote tory!! if wakey ever becomes a tory council both clubs will get sod all.

Total rubbish. Infact it was the Conservative that opposed the TP project. A local Conservative councillor campaigned aggressively against it. The whole project was initiated by the Labour controlled council that was overseen by Denise Jeffries.

As for our situation under a Tory controlled Wakefield council, it should not really matter to us because the Stanley project isn't really depended on council money. The Cas project im not so sure!

See tigerbaz he is one talking out of it. If people on a forum start posting stories that are untrue they are going to get corrected. Thats what a forum is for, at least it was the last I knew.

You can't be bothered  , which means a link doesn't exist. Your the one making the claim, lets see you back it up if you can. The burden of proof isn't on me! It's a case off back it up or shut up, me thinks.

If you were born in Cas after the 1970's reformation in essence your as much from Wakefield as I am.
I think there is a direct correlation between the demise of civic pride and the formation of the WMDC.

Yes i take the point the WMDC can never meet the needs of EVERYONE in it's boundaries, but could that have anything do with essentially being removed from our local regions and formed into an all encompassing body which is far too indiscriminate to meet the needs of any of us.

(for the record i know your comment was tongue in cheek, but it illustrates the argument perfectly)- why force a town into a region they feel in no way part of. Surely it would better for everyone to represent themselves?

I have news for you.
Very few people have been born in Castleford since 1976. This was when the maternity home was closed by the local health authority based in Wakefield, due to a declining birth rate. What is your point ? :?
