I still think you're missing jonh's point of clearly wanting to overinflate a negative story from which a small number of facts have been deduced, in order to take a swipe at the club. To back up your point though, I would suggest that no two cases of such injuries will be alike and in the event of an infection, even non-medical people know that the best way to fight it is through rest.
Why would i want to do that? I do not post on the Cas board often if ever and actually wish the club well.
As I said ignorance to this condition may be acceptable from the fans but not from the medical team. Super League players are top athletes and it is about time at some clubs they were treated like it, i do not think it is any coincidence that the clubs with the least professional and invested in backroom staff usually can be found towards the bottom of the table.

I've seen little evidence from your posts in this thread to suggest that you 'wish the club well'.
Let's recap shall we:

From what I have just seen regarding his recovery on Boots and All, if that is an accurate report on how Cas have handled him since his injury regards his recovery, then he needs to get away asap along with the likes of Westerman, or the conditioning staff need sacking.

Quality players in rugby league need treating like the professionals they are, if they are being neglected in this way then questions need to be asked.

Having one of the finest young talents in the game sat on his behind all day instead of getting started on his rehabilitation is criminal in my opinion.

Owen stated last night he had been doing nothing unable to train and sat on his backside all day, it would appear that if this is the case the entire backroom staff is not doing their job.

If rumours are true he will be well to be out of the club if he wants to reach his potential.
That all seems pretty negative to me. Now why would the club wish to neglect such a huge prospect such as Richard Owen? Just because he hasn't been able to do much, doesn't mean it's down to the club. What club in their right minds would go against the advice of medical specialists in rehabilitating an injury as serious as he suffered?
As I said previously, no two cases of such injuries are ever likely to be the same and just because an alleged poorly edited snippet on Boots 'n' All suggests that his injury is being handled differently to yours was, doesn't mean that he's being neglected. You don't know the facts, none of us do, excepting that we don't expect to see him playing again until next season at the earliest.
I wouldn't bother reading this bit, there is nothing interesting, witty or insightful down here, just this collection of boring words explaining that you really are wasting your time browsing this signature in the vain and futile hope that there will be a nugget, nay, a veritable goldmine of witticisms or divine philosophy. In reality, all you're going to get is disappointment, a sense of hopelessness and a random word.

Just answer this one simple question:- Do you have access to Richard Owen's medical records and recommended course of treatment? If 'yes' then well done, if 'no' then STFU.
Re: The bold bit, really? Are you now also privvy to the complete staff roster for each SL club or is it another pish poor attempt at trolling?

Given I have worked at several SL clubs in the capacity of rehab and conditioning across the spectrum from top middle and bottom I have a good idea of what goes on.
The reason for my concern is that we have struggled so long at international level, it appears now we have a young lad with the potential to be a great player, the correct rehab could ensure he reaches that potential, incorrect rehab and we could never see him go on to make the most of himself.
I understand you are all defensive at the moment so fair play I will leave it at that, not on here to row, simply to highlight a concern about the club you follow.

If you were not here to argue then why did you bother with your original post as you must have known that what you said is garbage ?

Thanks for the patronising response, 'not on here to row', with a series of inflammatory posts, what did you expect? ...and you didn't answer my one simple question.
So the surgeon tells him not to do anything and just take a rest and sit down for a while, some muppet on a forum comes on spouting he should be rehabbing and the club are rubbish for listening to medical professionals...right....get it
Poor guy...must be a real pi$$er to be out long term when your just breaking into the 1st team. I agree that its a travesty if the club aren't looking after him properly. Shame.
So after 72 games Richard Owen is still breaking into the 1st team!
I quite agree with jonh on this one. When I was 21, I broke both my arms and legs is a bizarre accident at Saville Park. I also suffered severe concussion, vomiting, diarrhoea, bruised elbows and the loss of all my teeth and hair. I almost died and had to be revived twice on the operating table. The staff at PGI wrapped my arms and legs in Band Aids and sticks from the bushes on the car park, and I was back playing prop for Cas the following day. If it wasn't for the well-informed, professional treatment I received that day, just like the stuff recommended by jonh, I'd never have scored that hat trick of tries in a bruising win away to St. Helens in that very comeback match. And, do you know, I've never suffered any ill effects, infections, or further complications of any kind.
Well said jonh
